Today, we meet with Emilee Conroy, an admitted adrenaline junkie and Sales Coordinator in Texas who lives with the power button on.

If you think your 9 to 5 is a lot, she's just picked up a weekend job as well. Follow her journey as she tackles new business challenges by leveraging her force and shaping her career with a directional approach to chasing her desired professional experience.

Q: TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF, AND WHAT'S MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU?
"Hi, I am Emilee Conroy and faith, family, my pup, friends and fitness are my top 5. Fashion would fall into that category as well if it hadn’t just become a default of my personality. It is a part of me and comes with who I am.

Needless to say, personal style is my way of continually playing dress up every day. I have a very city forward style that I especially like to emanate during my 9 to 5 and you almost will never catch me not wearing a blazer.

I just recently however, began a weekend job at a local boutique and the way in which I dress for that job is much more cutesy and girly. It is so fun for me to take the situations I am going to be in and match my outfit to them." – Emilee Conroy

 Q: GIVE US A LOOK AT YOUR TYPICAL DAY AT WORK. 

"Power button on, Emilee on. Each day is an opportunity to display gratefulness for the opportunities you’ve been given through the level of your work ethic.

Although, no two days look the same for me. Are we prepping for any buyer meetings? Which presentations do I need to work on today? Did we get any new samples in? Are the selling reports complete? This of course ebbs and flows with the twists and turns of the industry. An eternal rollercoaster if you will! Good thing I’m an adrenaline junkie."

Q: WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND FAILURES, AND HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
"Recently I had a unique opportunity to pick out a slew of t-shirts that we would be pitching to a large department store that we work with – they picked over 10 of the styles to be brought in for their spring mix. This partnership with our account is growing so I was so pleased to have played a part in assisting in its creative growth. I of course could not have done this without the help of the incredible leadership above me. I learn from my team every day and they are how I overcome failure. I respect constructive criticism and a way I overcome day to day challenges at work is by meeting with my boss monthly for touch-bases so she can cultivate my skills and correct any mistakes. It is a healthy checks and balances system and I recommend it to anyone in a corporate setting.

I fail every day. Which I believe means I’m at least trying something new every day."

Q: WHAT DOES BEING A WOMEN IN THE WORKPLACE MEAN TO YOU, AND HOW DO OU ASPIRE TO GROW AND DEVELOP IN YOUR CAREER?

"Being a woman in the workplace I have grown to acknowledge the importance of working your force. What does that mean? Well, every woman has specifically designed powers that they can use and grow in throughout their career.

By working your force you become a force to be reckon with in your industry. The way I display this very thing is by cultivating well-roundedness in my work environments. Jumping into the fashion industry with love for it all meant I wanted to experience it all. I have worked in shoes, in makeup, in retail, in wholesale, in apparel, in sales, in customer engagement, in marketing etc. Growing my forces one by one I have made it a priority to experience every facet the industry has to offer. This means that I am can be a tool to whomever is looking at my career history and I have the freedom to go in whichever direction I desire because of these forces I have chosen to develop."

Q: WHAT ABOUT US? (NEEDY WHIMPERS) HOW DO WE FIT IN?

"Naked Feet Shoes stands for all things feminine and confident. These are two very important accessories in my day-to-day wardrobe. The classic silhouettes paired with rich fabrics and cunning edge design techniques are the luxury my feet have grown used to. Nothing else can carry me through whatever endeavor I am plodding toward quite the way Naked Feet can."
